Musicians will join forces for Pray for 8: a prayer concert for 8 Supreme Court justices to rule against the Marcos burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

This Sunday, November 6, the public is invited to gather at the Lapu-Lapu Monument in Rizal Park for the Pray for Eight—A Prayer Concert from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Jim Paredes, Noel Cabangon, Cooky Chua, Bayang Barrios, Chikoy/The Jerks, Paul Galang, Vin Dancel, and other performers are expected to join the concert for a cause.

This event is organized by groups opposing the burial of dictator Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

Amidst protests from various sectors of society, President Rodrigo Duterte approved the plan to bury the former President at the Heroes’ Cemetery.

The Supreme Court is set to release a decision on the planned burial of Marcos on Tuesday, November 8.

There is need for 8 Supreme Court justices to vote against the burial of Marcos, hence the title of the concert: Pray for Eight.

Admission is free. Attendees are encouraged to wear white.
