2NE1 will apologize to fans through final single "Good Bye"

2NE1 members Sandara Park, CL, Bom Park will release the single "Good Bye" before they officially disband.

The K-pop girl group 2NE1 will be releasing one final song as a way of apologizing to their fans.

Titled "Good Bye," this single is scheduled to be released on January 21 with a music video featuring CL, Park Bom, and Sandara Park.

YG Entertainment, the agency that handled the career of the Korean girl group, announced last January 5: “2NE1 was disbanded without even saying good bye to their fans, and through the new single, the group will express how sorry they are.”

Korean news outlets also released the statement of YG Entertainment that explained:

"The members of 2NE1 were sad that they weren’t able to say their final goodbyes to fans after their sudden disbandment, so they've come together for one last song.

“2NE1 was much-loved, not just in Korea, but all around the world, and they will be saying their official last goodbyes through this upcoming song.”

Former 2NE1 member Gong Minzy will not be part of music video since she left the group last April. She is now being managed by Music Works Entertainment.

After seven years, 2NE1 officially broke up in November 2016.

CL and Sandara are still being managed by YG. Popularly known as Dara, the Korean performer was last seen on ABS-CBN's Pinoy Boyband Superstar.

The K-pop girl group rose to fame in 2009 through their debut single “Fire.” They became known for hits such as “Lonely,” “Can’t Nobody,” “I Am The Best,” and “I Love You."

The four original members' final performance as a group was during the 2015 Mnet Asia Music Awards.
