Local music artists gathered for the Fusion 2017 concert held on Friday, January 27, at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds.
Featuring the theme "Play as One," the third edition of Fusion aimed to show that there may be "different genres but one Pinoy music."
For the first time, Regine Velasquez joined the Fusion concert, which showcases only original Pinoy music. After singing "You've Made Me Stronger," Asia's Songbird jokingly told the crowd, "Hello, ako si Regine. Malapit na mag-100 years pero in fairness sa akin, di halata."
Regine shared the stage with award-winning Pinoy rapper Gloc-9. Together they performed his popular composition titled "Sirena."
Sarah Geronimo joined Fusion for the third time. The Popstar Princess performed songs from her latest album The Great Unknown.
Sarah was later joined by her close friend in showbiz, Yeng Constantino. They sang "Kaibigan Mo," which Yeng composed for Sarah's The Great Unknown album. This was the first time they performed this song together in public.
Yeng Constantino then performed some of her hit songs, including "Ikaw," the song she composed for her husband, Yan Asuncion.
Bamboo entertained audiences with a powerful performance. The Voice PH Coach performed the songs "Call" and "Untitled" from his latest album Bless This Mess.
Nadine Lustre remained energetic during her "Me and You" performance even though it was already past midnight.
No energy gap for James Reid when he performed "Cool Down." This was the first time James performed his original composition.
The "millennial couple" brought kilig to their fans by singing "Till I Met You," which was the theme song of their recently concluded teleserye with the same title.
At the end of their performance, James gave Nadine a tender kiss, which he tried to cover with his cap. Luckily, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) was in the right place to capture his kiss on Nadine's left cheek.
Cesar Montano sang "Pilipinas" with the Mandaluyong Children's Choir. The newly-appointed chief operating officer of the Tourism Promotions Board encouraged Pinoys to promote a drug-free Philippines.
Julian Trono performed his first single under Viva Records titled "Balang Araw."
Ella Cruz performed her latest single "Tamis."
PEP noticed that Ella Cruz and Julian Trono were very sweet with each other during their performances last night.
Callalily opened its set with the "Bitter" song in time for Valentine's Day.
The band's frontman, Kean Cipriano, told heartbroken people in the audience, "It's time to freakin' move on!"
Meanwhile, the 6Cyclemind band dedicated the song "Sandalan" to single people in the audience.
The '80s singer Gino Padilla (leftmost) and newbie singers Zendee and TJ Monterde jived on the Fusion 2017 stage as they performed Spongecola's "Bitiw."
Later in the night, Gloc-9 returned to the stage to perform his other rap songs, to the delight of the audience.
Music duo Migz and Maya performed a medley of pop songs, such as "Paano Ba Ang Magmahal" and "Tadhana."
