Cristiani Rebada and Nhikzy Calma emerge as grand champions in WCOPA 2017

The Philippines once again triumphed in the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA).

Cristiani Rebada and Nhikzy Calma emerged as grand champions in the 21st edition of WCOPA that took place from June 30 - July 9, 2017 in Long Beach, California.

Nhikzy was named as the 2017 WCOPA Over-all Junior Grand Champion Performer of the World aside from being selected as the Junior Champion for Dance Solo.

Cristiani was chosen as the 2017 WCOPA Over-all Senior Grand Champion Performer of the World.

Hannah Korin Castillo also brought honor to the Philippines when she bagged the gold medal as the Junior Champion Vocalist of the World.

In 2014, Nhikzy won in the "Mini Me" segment of It's Showtime for his Michael Jackson impersonation.

In WCOPA, Nhikzy also impressed the judges with his Michael Jackson routine.

The young performer posted on his Instagram account (published as is): "Gold Medalist, Junior Grand Winner of Dance Division and the JUNIOR GRAND CHAMPION OF THE WORLD OVERALL back to back Grand CHAMPION of World Championship of Performing Arts #WCOPA #Philippines!!!! Inaalay ko po etong Tagumpay ko sa inyong lahat mga mahal kong PILIPINO. Salamat po sa inyong lahat sa tiwala at supporta na binigay nyo sakin at sa lahat po ng tumulong at sumuporta po skin para maabot ko po etong napakagandang pangarap."
