Cacai Bautista recalled the moment when friend Kim Chiu got the shock of her life when Justin Bieber gave her a shoutout via Instagram.
On July 11, the international pop star conducted an Instagram live for his fans.
Coincidentally, Kim and Cacai were together on standby on the set of Ghost Bride. This upcoming horror movie is directed by Chito Roño.
“Tengga kasi kami no’n, naghihintay kami ng set-up,” narrated Cacai during the July 18 presscon of her upcoming comedy concert, Live, Love, Laugh.
“Kami kasi ni Kim, pag nasa shooting, walang ginawa kundi tumawa lang, kumain, magharutan, maglandian, mag-cellphone,” continued the comedienne-singer.
“Tapos nagbukas siya ng Instagram,” Cacai said, referring to Kim.
“Nakita niya si Justin Bieber nagla-live. Nataranta na.
“Tapos sulat niya don habang nagla-live si Justin Bieber, ‘Fan girl from the Philippines. I love you, Justin Bieber.’ Ako nanonood lang ako sa kanya.
“Maya-maya, habang nagla-live si Justin Bieber, nag-hi sa kanya, ‘I’ll see you in the Philippines, Chinita,’ narinig ko.”
Justin is set to return to the Philippines and stage a concert on September 29.
Cacai caught that moment on video using her phone camera and uploaded it on her Instagram Story.
“Yung nasa Instagram ko, pinick-up na ng mga fans. Nilagay ko sa IG Stories. Pinick-up nila, hinanap nila pati yung comment ni Kim in-screen cap nila.
“Hindi naman niya akalain na nasa news na, international news magazine.”
The actress was referring to digital sites of New York-based publications, like InStyle.com and TeenVogue.com, which featured the exchange of messages between Kim and the Canadian pop star.
However, Cacai also revealed that it is uncertain if Kim would be able to attend Justin’s concert happening in two months’ time.
“Ang catch, hindi niya alam kung makakanood siya because time 'yon ng Star Magic Ball.”
The ball is the annual red-carpet event of ABS-CBN’s talent arm, in which majority of its stars gather together for a night of celebration.
Meanwhile, Live, Love, Laugh, which brings together Cacai, Jon Santos, and the ISPRIKITIK Improv group, is happening on August 12-13 at the Ceremonial Hall of the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Resorts World Manila in Pasay City.
The said comedy concert is Cacai’s follow-up to the EJK: Extra Judicial Kidding comedy concert held last February.
Joaquin Pedro Valdez, who directed EJK, will also be directing Live, Love, Laugh.
