Manila, show Bruno Mars what you like!
The half-Filipino singer behind the hit song "That's What I Like" will soon be returning to the Philippines for his 24K Magic world tour.
Bruno Mars is slated to hold the concert on May 3, 2018 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Due to popular demand, Bruno Mars will perform a second night in Manila. The organizers added a second show on May 4 after tickets for the first night sold out in less than an hour.
To date, tickets for the Manila leg of his 24K Magic tour are already sold out.
The singer-songwriter, whose real name is Peter Gene Hernandez, will perform for Filipinos for the third time.
His past concerts were held at the Araneta Coliseum & in Cebu in April 2011 and at the Mall of Asia Arena in March 2014.
While in Manila in 2014, the singer-songwriter donated $100,000 for Pinoys affected by supertyphoon Yolanda.
Born Peter Gene Hernandez to a Filipina mom and a Puerto Rican dad in Hawaii, Bruno Mars is a five-time Grammy Award winner.
He was chosen as one of Time's 100 most influential people in the world in 2011.
His hit songs include "Just The Way You Are," "Grenade," "Marry You" and "Nothin' On You," among others.
He is also known for "Billionaire" (which he co-wrote with Travie McCoy) as well as "Locked Out of Heaven."
His latest album 24K Magic, which was released in November 2016, contained the popular song "Versace on the Floor."
Halle Berry can also be heard on his single "Calling All My Lovelies."
During his 2011 concert in Manila, Bruno admitted that he is proud of his heritage.
He told audiences, "My family’s here! My grandma, sister, and mom! I’m very, very proud to say I’m a Filipino!"
