Former Pinoy Big Brother 737 housemate Bailey May had the chance to meet pop star Miley Cyrus!
The 15-year-old singer went to Los Angeles along with fellow Star Magic talents Ylona Garcia, Jane de Leon, and AC Bonifacio to represent the Philippines at the Now United bootcamp.
This talent search is created by American Idol creator Simon Fuller who is best known for managing the career of the Spice Girls.
The four Star Magic talents were chosen by Fuller to join the 46 other finalists from around the globe for dance, vocal, styling and social media workshops.
These contestants will compete for the chance to join Fuller’s new pop group called Now United.
The bootcamp is created to find unique talents in the world who will form a super global group consisting of 11 talents from 11 countries.
Bailey shared this rare moment by writing on his Instagram account: "Just met @mileycyrus she's soo nice @nowunited #bootcamp"
Bailey, Ylona, Jane, and AC were chosen by the Now United committee among the many Star Magic talents who auditioned.
The four performers flew to Los Angeles last August 26.
The four official Philippine representatives kept their followers updated about their bootcamp journey through their Instagram accounts.
Star Magic's official Instagram account also uploaded videos of the four Pinoy representatives dancing with participants from other countries.
Prior to the bootcamp, Bailey and Ylona have been performing in the Sunday variety show ASAP.
The two also launched their separate albums last year.
Ylona is also set to hold her first solo concert this October 21 at the Music Museum.
AC has already proven her talent in performing when she joined Dance Kids in 2016, and Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids early this year.
Jane is a member of It's Showtime's girl group GirlTrends and will be seen in the upcoming movie The Debutantes.
After the weeklong training, the participants of the bootcamp returned to their respective countries.
Only the 11 chosen members will return to the United States on January 2018 to prepare for the group's world tour.
Aside from creating the famous singing competition American Idol, Simon Fuller also managed the careers of Amy Winehouse, Carrie Underwood, David & Victoria Beckham, among others. He also previously worked with Jennifer Lopez on a Latin American TV talent search titled Q'Viva.
