James Reid was hailed Best Southeast Asia Act at the 2017 MTV Europe Music Awards.

The results are in!

ABS-CBN actor/singer James Reid was hailed Best Southeast Asia Act 2017 at the MTV Europe Music Awards.

The 24-year-old Viva talent bested six other Southeast Asian acts in the category, including Faizal Tahir (Malaysia), Dam Vinh Hung (Vietnam), Isyana Sarasvati (Indonesia), Slot Machine (Thailand), The Sam Willows (Singapore), and social wildcard winner Palitchoke Ayanaputra (Thailand).

The announcement was made earler today, November 12, through MTVAsia.com.

The 2017 MTV EMAs will be held at The SSE Arena in Wembley, London, United Kingdom on Sunday, November 12 (November 13, 3:00 a.m. local time).

James was first nominated for the same category during the 2015 MTV EMA held in Milan, Italy.

Vietnamese talent Son Tùng M-TP eventually bagged the award.

The former Til I Met You actor is currently promoting his third album with Viva Records titled Palm Dreams.
