Jed Madela on not being part of ABS-CBN Christmas station ID: "Ayoko namang magpakaplastik..."

Jed Madela says it was his honor to perform at the gala dinner for the recently concluded 31st ASEAN Summit. His performance with other Filipino artists was received well by the delegates. "It was just an exclamation point na parang we really did great, we really represented our country well," said the Filipino singer.

"Iniisip lang talaga namin is just to perform and to make the country proud.

"For us na mabigyan ng ganung confirmation nung nag-thumbs up si President Duterte at yun nga, yung standing ovation na binigay nila sa amin.

"It was just an exclamation point na parang we really did great, we really represented our country well.

"We  really impressed the people and promote the Philippines sa talents natin kasi dun naman talaga tayo umaapaw.”

"Parang mas nakaka-engganyo pa talaga to promote the Philippines like we’re doing right now.

"Kasi, di ba, I'm very involved sa WCOPA ngayon.

"We have to be at our utmost [best] selves kasi kami yung pinili to represent the music industry, to represent the entertainment industry na ipakita kung ano ang talento ng Filipino.

"Nakaka-pressure kasi it’s a big responsibility for us talents.”

Sa kanyang Instagram account, nag-post si Jed ng photo niya with the President at sinulat niya sa caption: "When the president of the country seals the deal by giving us 2 thumbs up after our production number . With his excellency, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte after our performance for BRAVO ASEAN!"

CHRISTMAS STATION ID SNUB?

“Ayoko namang magpakaplastik, nalungkot ako dahil di ako nasama pero ang totoo nun, it was a missight I think.

"Ang sinabi sa akin I was originally part of the list of the artists to perform talaga, lahat ng singers actually.

"'Tapos nung Sunday na yun, I was prepared.

"Nagkagulo-gulo ang schedule, I have no time ro record kasi nga kasabay nung kay Regine [Velasquez] na concert.

"Sayang, if they recorded me earlier sana nung ready ako sa ASAP, I could have joined.

“Minsan ganun talaga, you cannot control schedules, opportunities and I’m sure they’re just following instructions kung sino ang nasa listahan, yun lang naman ang sinusunod nila.

"I don’t hold anything against the production [staff] kasi they are just doing their job.

"I feel sad pero okay lang yun, kasi, di ba, ang tagline natin ngayon, 'Just Love.' Love na lang.”
