James Reid and Nadine Lustre want to prove that they don't need to be together all the time in order to be successful.
This is what they intend to show their fans during their 2018 Valentine concert.
James and Nadine want prove that they can showcase their musical talents individually and still stand out.
“I think it is really time to just do our own thing coz we’ve grown so much as a love team, but we know we have or can do so much more and we wanna show to people that we can really branch out and stand alone,” explains James during the January 5 press conference of their upcoming concert.
Their Valentine concert, Revolution: The JaDine Concert, will take place at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on February 9.
Sure, James and Nadine—or JaDine—have generated a huge following because of their successful team-up, but the power couple is not all about being a tandem.
They intend to show that they are good at other things such as being talented performers.
Nadine adds, “We grew so much together as a love team and a couple na rin po and then we also need to grow ng kami lang na sarili naming, na hindi kami magkasama as a person din and as an artist din as well.”
Although it is their concert, James said that he and Nadine will have their individual portions that will highlight their musicality and their artistry.
“Separately because it’s his music and my music as well and then most of the VTRs that we’re doing sa concert will be directed by me. Talagang as individuals,” says the Kapamilya actress.
As a matter of fact, James’ music video, “The Life” is directed by Nadine, who has passion for directing.
When PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked James if he and Nadine are more effective “separately,” he answers, “We know we’re effective together, but we wanna prove that we’re also effective separately.”
Nadine also stresses that while many identify them as actors, they will prove in their concert that they are effective musical artists too.
“Mas maso-showcase po kasi namin yung aming music po, hindi lang po as celebrities.
“This time, yung music side po namin ang maipapakita namin.”
The special guests for their concerts include Sarah Geronimo, Vice Ganda, Kiana Valenciano, and Sam Concepcion.
