CONCERT HIGHLIGHTS. John Legend treated his fans to kilig-worthy performances of his chart-topping hits.
The concert was divided into two parts.
He entered the stage wearing a dark suit signifying the "Darkness" side of his fifth and latest studio album, Darkness and Light, which was released in December 2016.
John opened the concert with performances "I Know Better" and "Penthouse Floor," the first two singles off the album.
This was followed by a performance of his 2013-hit titled "Tonight (Best You Ever Had)" from the album Love in the Future.
Other songs included in the set list are "Love Me Now," "Made to Love," and his album's title track "Darkness and Light."
At one point of the concert, John Legend introduced one of his favorite pieces from his repertoire, a song called "Overload."
John told the crowd before performing the song, "Sometimes you wanna get lost in love, you wanna bathe in it.
"Sometimes you even forget about what's going on around you and focus on it, sometimes you gotta turn your phone off.
"Many of us have a relation with our phones and our lovers. We get so addicted to lights, we forget about love!
"Tonight we're gonna focus on love, Manila!"
The concert continued with his performances of "Start A Fire," "Used to Love U," and "Save the Night."
The crowd sang along as John perform his solo version of Meghan Trainor's "Like I'm Gonna Lose You."
John also performed some of his earlier tracks including "Save Room" and "Slow Dance" from his 2006 album Once Again.
One of the concert's highlight is when he narrated how important Curtis Mayfield's song "Superfly" is for him and his wife, Chrissy Teigen.
John said his wife was giving birth to their first daughter Luna in 2016 while the song was playing. This is why he added a cover of the song on his set list.
He also did a cover of Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes' song "Wake Up Everybody" followed by "Stay With You."
John took a short break and changed into a white-and-black suit for the second half of the concert.
During this portion, most of his performances were performed solely with a piano including his solo version of "Beauty And The Beast" which he originally performed with Ariana Grande. This was followed by "Ordinary People."
John Legend also gave a goosebump-inducing a capella version of Sam Smith's "Lay Me Down."
Towards the end of the concert, he treated concertgoers to his renditions of "Surefire," "Green Light," "Who Do We Think We Are," "You & I (Nobody in the World)," and "So High."
John Legend ended his Philippine concert with an encore performance of the songs "All of Me" and "Glory."
