Jennylyn Mercado witnessed the impact of a celebrity on fans when she saw fans crying tears of joy upon seeing Alden Richards perform.

Jennylyn Mercado, Dennis Trillo, and Dingdong Dantes all agree in saying that performing in front of overseas Filipino workers or Pinoys abroad, gives a different kind of satisfaction.

The three prime stars of GMA Network are among the celebrities who will fly to the United States and Canada this April 2018 for the Sikat Ka, Kapuso event of GMA Pinoy TV.

Apart from Jennylyn, Dennis, and Dingdong, Lovi Poe, Betong Sumaya, and Alden Richards will also perform at the event.

Jennylyn explained what makes this kind of event memorable for her.

“Nagpe-perform ka sa harap nila tapos lahat sila excited, di ba? Happy sila na makita ka.

“Kasabay mo sila na habang kumakanta ka nakakakilig ang kanta mo, kinikilig din yung mga tao, yung ganong kasimpleng mga bagay na kahit papano bago sila umuwi sa mga bahay nila, masaya sila, nakita nila, nakapag-enjoy sila, na-entertain sila.”

The singer-actress did this kind of show in 2017.

Asked about her unforgettable experience, she answered, “Siguro yung enough sa akin na di ko makakalimutan makita ko yung mga tao na masaya.

“Yung iba naiiyak pa sa sobrang saya. Nakita ko 'yon kina Alden. Oh my gosh! Talagang naiiyak sila sa sobrang happiness.Talagang nata-touch sila.

“Para sa akin, yun ang di ko makakalimutan at dadalhin natin ‘yan hanggang sa pag-uwi [sa Pilipinas].”

DENNIS TRILLO.
For his part, Dennis expressed his excitement to perform before Filipinos abroad.

“Marami kaming mga prods do’n na may interaction din with the audience.

“Gusto namin iparamdam sa kanila na intimate pa rin. Meron silang chance na ma-meet kami up close and personal.

“After nung show dahil may-meet-and-greet din pagkatapos.”

Just like real-life girlfriend Jennylyn, Dennis said that seeing the reactions of Filipinos while they perform is priceless.

“Every time na nagpe-perform kami and nakikita namin yung mga kababayan and inaaliw namin sila, hindi mababayaran yung reaksyon nila kapag lumalapit ka sa kanila, inaabot mo yung mga kamay mo 'pag kinakantahan mo na sila, parang yun yung masayang feeling don, na makita mo yung mga reaksyon nila na hindi mo mabibili yon kahit saan dahil sobrang genuine.

“Para sa amin yun ang reward.”

DINGDONG DANTES.
For his part, Dingdong says performing for Filipinos abroad is more challenging because “Hindi naman namin ia-assume na lahat nakakapanood ng trabaho namin dito sa Pinas.”

“Siyempre, kami mas madalas kami sa teleserye.”

Still, the Kapuso Primetime King is more than happy to accept the challenge of making his fellow Filipinos happy.

“Itong mga pagkanta, pag-perform, bihira naming gawin kaya yung preparation namin dito parang yung ginagawa siguro ng mga nagko-concert.

“Bibigyan talaga namin sila ng show. Sinasabi ko na di po ako singer pero I will try my best to entertain and perform for you basta mahalaga all coming from the heart.”

GMA Pinoy TV’s Sikat Ka, Kapuso will take place at the Newark Symphony Hall in New Jersey, U.S.A. on April 7 and at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto, Canada on April 8.
