Pops Fernandez and Martin Nievera reunite for "Missing You"

Martin Nievera and Pops Fernandez will be reunited—after six long years—for their pre-Valentine concert dubbed as Missing You. They will perform together at the Araneta Coliseum on February 6, 2009.

The Concert King and Queen will warm hearts anew during themonth of love. Martin Nievera and Pops Fernandez will serenade lovers onceagain as they topbill the pre-Valentine show dubbed as Missing You. Theformidable twosome will perform at the Araneta Coliseum on February 6, 2009.

It will be recalled that the former husband-and-wife tandem used to fire up thestage with their passion for performing but marital problems forced the twosingers to go their separate ways. However, all of that is water under the bridge since they have decided to rekindle their romance again—at least on stage.

During the January 11 episode of The Buzz, Popsanswered the Tough Ten Questions posed by host Ruffa Gutierrez.

Ruffa: Tough Ten Question No. 10: Paano ka na-convince na gawin angreunion concert ninyo ni Martin?

Pops: Hindi naman kailangang i-convince pa. Last year, pinag-usapan nanamin then during the middle of the year, nag summer vacation si Ram [one oftheir sons] with him and I became emotional. Then he texted me, ‘Gusto mo bagumawa ng concert together? What do you think?' I told him, ‘If you're notserious then don't ask.'"

The Concert Queen then revealed that they had planned to do a reunion concertseveral times in the past but this is the only time that it finally pushedthrough. Jomari Yllana, a self-confessed fan of the Pops-Martin team-up, was instrumental in making this a reality.
