Filipino singer Christian Bautista sings his romantic ballad hits to his Indonesian fans in a Valentine dinner concert scheduled for February 13 at 7 p.m. (Jakarta time). It will take place at the Times Square, Grand Indonesia Shopping Town, Jarkarta, Indonesia.
Even though Christian is based in the Philippines, he has been able to sustain his musical career across Indonesia since his breakout single "The Way You Look At Me" hit the Indonesian airwaves in 2004.
The charismatic crooner has visited Jakarta and nearby cities several times already to star in album and concert tours; television specials, including a guest stint on Indonesian Idol aired by RCTI; opening ceremony of the first Asian Beach Games held in Bali and aired by Trans TV; and advertisement campaigns for Indonesian companies and San Miguel Corporation-Indonesia in a span of four years.
Now armed with considerable chart topping hits from his four albums embraced by Indonesian locals, Christian is back for Valentine's Day at the '50s-inspired Times Square, which is strategically located at the Entertainment district of the "Crossroads of the World," Grand Indonesia Shopping Town in Central Jakarta. The shopping complex is situated next to the dancing fountain, which is similar to the fountain found at the Rockefeller Center in New York City.
While in Jakarta, Christian will be featured on MTV Ampuh aired by Global TV, and on the Valentine episode of Dashyat aired by RCTI. Dashyat is Indonesia's current top rating show on television.
UK-based designer Harvey Nichols suits up the singer while Jakarta-based event organizer A Plus Productions, spearheaded by Ari Stefanus, produces the concert.
Dinner concert tickets are available at Rp250,000 (US$22.17) per person.
