Sony BMG artists are expected to go full-blast in the recording scene during the first quarter of 2009. Leading the pack is the Megastar Sharon Cuneta, who is slated to release an album containing revivals by February or early March. This comes in the heels of her very successful multi-platinum album Isn't It Romantic? Volume 2.

Sharon's daughter, KC Concepcion, will also be releasing her own album, but it will be the official soundtrack of her upcoming movie with Richard Gutierrez titled When I Met You. This Valentine offering of GMA Films and Regal Entertainment will open in cinemas nationwide starting February 11, 2009. The theme song of the movie, performed by KC, is currently receiving airtime in most major radio stations.

You see brothers Moymoy Palaboy and Roadfill perform in Bubble Gang every Friday. Now you have the chance to listen to their hilarious performances by buying a copy of their upcoming album when it comes out in the market this month. It contains rib-tickling songs that will have fans laughing out loud for their wit and humor. This is their first solo album after being included in the soundtrack of the 2008 Metro Manila Film Fest entry Dayo

An album dedicated to women power will soon penetrate the music industry. Four females decided to band themselves together and refer to their group as Duster, in honor of the quintessential piece of clothing worn by Filipinas of all walks of life.

This group is composed of Katwo Librando of Narda (vocals), Kris Dancel (Cambio) on guitars/vocals, Myrene Academia (Sandwich/Imago) on bass synth and Ristalle Bautista on drums. Their album called Sweetheart Snackbar contains 14 tracks of pop songs that will show that Pinays aren't just made of sugar 'n' spice.

Another new group is aiming to enter the mainstream music industry even if they are still students of Southeast Asian College. The band Letter Day Story bested 12 other college bands in the competition called the Nescafé Soundskool 2008.

Part of the prize is a record deal withSony BMG. Since they won contest last November 2008, radio stations have already been playing their songs "Ikaw Pa Rin" and "Pasitib." Both songs will be part of their upcoming debut album.

These are just some of the projects of local artists whose albums will be formally launched by Sony BMG within the next few months.
