Marie Digby performs live in Manila, August 1

Marie Digby became popular in Youtube for her acoustic covers of popular songs. On August 1, she will share her music with Filipino fans at the NBC Tent.

Marie Digby was able to capture the hearts of over 20 million online viewers in the infectious world of YouTube. Now, she leaps out of computer monitor screens to stages located all over the world to share her music.

Her Japanese, Irish and American heritage makes her a living proof that fusion outshines confusion. She's a jack of all trades when it comes to music. She's a singer, a songwriter, a guitar player and pianist.

Her road to fame started with winning a contest for Pantene's Pro-voice competition in the year 2004. Included in the prize was being able to work with a professional album producer and performing onstage alongside top performers. She decided to drop college and pursue her passion for music. Digby started playing at night clubs across her hometown in L.A. Eventually, she was able to land a record deal with Disney's Hollywood Records.

It was during this time that Digby started posting videos of her covers of popular hits from Maroon 5, The Game, Nelly Furtado and even Linkin Park. Yet, much recognition was given to her cover of Rihanna's phenomenal hit, "Umbrella" that currently has more than 13 million views to date. She also has more than 160, 000 subscribers on her official Youtube page where she fondly holds contests and continuously does covers of recent hits.

Now, Filipinos have the chance to watch her perform live as MCA Music, Music Management Inc, Fearless Productions, Magic 89.9, GMA-7 and MTV Philippines present Marie Digby Live in Manila. See the Youtube sensation perform at the NBC Tent, Taguig City on August 1, 2009.

Marie Digby will perform past favorites from her previous album Unfold, including the hits "Umbrella," "Say It Again," and "Stupid for You" plus new songs from her latest album Breathing Underwater released under MCA Music. Her album already has its first single titled "Avalanche."
