Reigning box-office queen Sarah Geronimo was unable to receive her trophy during the 41st Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Inc. because she was in the United States for her concert tour.
Although this is her second time to receive the honor, Sarah has expressed her fear of being paired anew with John Lloyd Cruz for the third installment of the Laida-Miggy love story. They previously starred in A Very Special Love and You Changed My Life.
The third installment, which will be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, has the working title Dahil Minahal Mo Ako.

ONSCREEN SISTER OF JUDY ANN SANTOS. For now, Sarah is busy promoting her upcoming movie with Judy Ann Santos titled Hating Kapatid. In the film, Juday plays the strict sister of Sarah’s character and as a result, she rebels against her and they have a falling out.
This July 21, viewers will soon be able to be able to see Sarah act opposite teleserye queen Judy Ann in this Wenn Deramas film.

The singer-actress is also busy taping for her upcoming musical-serye with Sam Milby.
Because of the many projects that are coming her way, is there a possibility that Sarah would leave behind her singing career to concentrate on acting?
"Never!" she exclaimed during the press con of Hating Kapatid held last July 7 at the City Best seafood restaurant in Quezon City. "First love ko talaga ang singing pero kakatapos ko lang kasi mag concert tour sa abroad at last year sa Araneta. Sana mabigyan naman ako ng chance para mag-concentrate sa acting para naman hindi rin magsawa yung mga tao."
NOT A FLOP CONCERT. Some items in tabloids came out saying that Sarah’s concert in the United States turned out to be a flop. Sarah responded: "Hindi naman po flop kasi may mga kababayan naman tayong pumunta dun para manood pero hindi laging puno. Wala naman pong problema sa akin yun kasi nag-umpisa ako sa wala."
She also explains, "Medyo mahirap ang economy natin ngayon at ang mga kababayan natin abroad [hirap rin]."
She adds that she doesn’t mind performing in front of a lean crowd as long as there are people who still appreciate her performance. "Hindi kaso sa akin kahit isang tao lang ang pumunta doon, as long as may pumunta para panoorin ako."
PROVINCIAL TOUR. The Pop Star Princess will be touring the Philippines for a series of shows that will run until October.
Sarah will perform with Fil-Brit singer Charlie Green, Erik Santos, and former Are You the Next Big Star contestant Jay Perillo on July 30 (Friday) at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu.
She will then perform at Limketkai Atrium in Cagayan de Oro on August 6; at Island Cove, Cavite on August 20 and the Arellano Coliseum in Cabanatuan on August 27.
