MYX music channel will celebrate 10 years of love, 10 years of fun and 10 years of great music with I ♥ MYX on November 18 at the SM Mall of Asia concert grounds.

MYX will proudly present its 10th year of providing the Philippines the hottest music videos of all genres from all over the world.

This music channel began in November of the new millennium with test broadcasts on Studio 23. Just after two months, it had a full music block on the same UHF channel, playing music for a more sophisticated crowd. In 2002, MYX fused with Vid-Ok karaoke channel to become a 24/7 cable network. MYX, then began to be appealing not only to the upscale audience but also to a larger and broader market segments.

With the new direction it took, MYX was able to become known among Filipino music lovers. Thanks to the lyrics put on every music video, MYX offered a unique way for fans to become acquainted with their favorite tunes.

MYX also introduced fresh and bubbly VJs, who later became part of the local entertainment industry. MYX icons include VJs Luis Manzano, Nikki Gil, Iya Villania, Heart Evangelista and Geoff Eigenmann. The careers of this generation’s biggest music acts such as Sarah Geronimo, Christian Bautista, Nina, M.Y.M.P., Sponge Cola, Kamikazee and 6cyclemind also got a jumpstart through MYX. The tag "First seen on MYX" came into being.

MYX allowed Original Pinoy Music (OPM) to flourish by providing an avenue for local artists to showcase their music videos. It also provided a venue for OPM artists, whether mainstream or indie, to perform their best in programs like MYX Live and MYX Bandarito.

MYX Mo! 2010 aims to showcase the country’s best artists through a huge OPM concert at the SM Mall of Asia concert grounds on November 18. This year’s celebration will feature various artists from different genres including well-known OPM artists and bands like Chicosci, Kjwan, Spongecola, Callalily, Imago, Rivermaya and a lot more.
