Yeng Constantino's "Rock Enroll" concert to be held on June 23

Yeng Constantino shared this trivia for the press: She has pet names for all of her guitars. Her latest baby (the one she is holding in the poster) is called Recca because she is fond of the Japanese animé Flame of Recca.

To rock the opening of school year 2007 - 2008, ASAP Live! and Dream Big Productions proudly present Pinoy Dream Academy Grand Star Dreamer Yeng Constantino in a one-of-a-kind rock concert aptly entitled Rock Enroll: Yeng Constantino’s Rock to School (Back to School) Concert. This one-night performance will take place Saturday, June 23, at the Aliw Theater.

It seemed like it was only yesterday when the name Yeng Constantino emerged as one of the talented students in Pinoy Dream Academy. We’ve even supported her from her days as a struggling scholar in PDA and even after she was chosen as the Grand Star Dreamer. We have witnessed her transform from a feisty, close-minded student to a determined, singer-songwriter and total performer.

She composed her hit song "Hawak Kamay" when she was only 14 years old. This popular song won the Best Theme song for the 37th Metro Manila Film Festival last December for the movie Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo. Her first solo album Salamat also hit the charts and reached triple platinum status.

Students of all ages are up for a rockin’ time as Yeng performs some of her hits during her PDA days and in her solo album. Watch her perform onstage some of the songs that shaped and influenced her music, mostly hits from the pop and rock genre. In Rock Enroll, Yeng also jams with some of the country’s OPM artists and bands, some of whom are her idols.

Her guests include Chris Cayzer, former PDA scholars Ronnie Liang and Jay-R Siaboc, Ruben Caballero and Jay Justiniani of Cuéshe, as well as Mark Tupaz of Shamrock.

In addition, guests will also witness her perform with the people who dreamed with her, Yeng’s bandmates from the amateur band Morning Glory. The concert is directed by Johnny Manahan.

Tickets are available at Ticketworld outlets for PhP800, 500, and 300. As a back-to-school treat, students can get a FREE ticket for every 4 tickets that you buy, just by presenting a valid student ID (for PhP500 and 300 tickets only).
