Ogie Alcasid to hold birthday concert on August 24 and 25

According to the show’s producer, Sherilyn Reyes-Tan, Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez will be singing songs "that have meaning in their lives" during the August 24-25 concerts to be held at the Music Museum in Greenhills, San Juan.

Days before Ogie Alcasid celebrates his 40th birthday on August 27, he will be performing in an intimate birthday concert with Asia’s Songbird, Regine Velasquez.

The two-night birthday concert will take place at the Music Museum, Greenhills Shopping Complex, on August 24-25. Regine will be his special and only guest.

Titled Faces of My Life, this show is produced by the husband-and-wife tandem of Chris Tan and Sherilyn Reyes-Tan of 1two17 Productions. The actress-turned-show producer tells PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) via email that "there are many surprises for Ogie and the songs he is singing alone and with Regine are those that have meaning in their lives."

With a teaser like that, how can anyone miss out on watching and listening to the celebrity lovebirds?

This concert seems to mark the start of future projects for the couple since Ogie’s declaration of love for Regine in the June 2007 issue of YES! Magazine. During the celebrity premiere night of the horror film Ouija, Ogie and Regine confirmed that they would be starring in a GMA Films movie to be directed by Dominic Zapata.

Performance dates: August 24-25, 2007

Venue: Music Museum, Greenhills Shopping Complex, San Juan
