"'Yong title na Rom-Com, naisip 'yon ni Moy with no timetable of project in mind because it's one of the muse called to him, gave him a title, na napa-what-if siya."
SMALL WORLD.
"We are always running into each other in the TV world," masiglang panimula ni Jon.
"I was a TV host and they're from the OPM world, they were getting invited to the TV world.
"Nagkikita lang kami sa likod ng corporate shows 'cause I'm not exposed to the world of weddings as much as they were.
"Then somebody invested on a show called Quick Change. Quick Change brought us together in 2009, it was an independent producer.
"We're now finally together in a show that is not a corporate show.
"After that, aside from naging magkaibigan kami outside of work, I've seen their shows from the audience; they've seen my shows from the audience.
BEST OF TWO WORLDS. Ito naman ang paglalarawan ni Moy sa kanilang concert: "Rom-Com is like the best of what he does and the best of what we try to do.
"It is why Romantic-Comedy—we do love songs, he does a lot of comedy—we cross each other's worlds and see what will happened."
"A lot of people just know our group [for our] love songs; they think we just sing love songs.
"It has always been theatrical, our acts, we've always crossed and gone on doing musical comedy in a live act, always very, very theatrical.
"We were very impressed and we know his roots are theater—and we thought that it'll be a good choice to put Jon's act, to enter our act and vice versa, because both are theatrical.
"Kami naman we try to convince and influence Jon in incorporating more musical acts in to his shows because we found out that he can more than just carry it, more than he even thinks.
"We know also na our core strength really isn't comedy.
"So, our comedy in our shows would always be a music fit.
"But, we can't do just how Jon does which is just like, we can't do it in such a way like getting into alter-egos and characters, in the costumes, are not really our strength."
Dagdag pa ni Jon, hanga siya sa paraan ng pagtatanghal ng The CompanY sa kahit anong show nila.
Sinabi niya na, "Kapag may gano'n [show] sila, no matter how intently covered they are in another persona, the number is still a number by The Company— they don't call names, they don't loose The Company.
"Ako iba, it's a mask, I hide.
"Parang masarap na nagka-exhange-an na how I do what I do, how you do what you do."
TOUCH OF PINOY.
"What we have to offer is something that, something that a show cannot be given by...by the international acts," pahayag ni Moy.
"Because it's shouting Pinoy and it has the voice of a Pinoy, whether it's in the terms of view of point, in terms of music.
"We give them a show that foreigners cannot give.
"Actually knowing the local culture— our works, our sensibility, what we find offensive, what we find acceptable— 'yong lasa ng Pinoy.
"That's why we are quite proud of it because we use our core strength, na we give them a show na mapupuntahan ng mga Pinoy na hindi ma-o-offer ng mga iba dyan."
No. 891-9999).
