2014 TV Ratings Round-Up based on Kantar Media-TNS data: ABS-CBN teleseryes sweep most-watched shows nationwide

Based on Kantar Media-TNS data, Dyesebel, starring Anne Curtis (left frame) registered the highest TV rating for a teleserye pilot episode. Meanwhile, Got To Believe starring Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo (right frame) had the highest TV rating for a teleserye finale episode.


2014 was an unforgettable year for television. Shows with original concepts and even remakes entertained viewers all over the country.

The past year has shown that Filipinos are not yet tired of watching boxing events.

The most-watched program last year was Pacquiao vs Bradley 2: Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley on GMA-7. The April 13 telecast scored a TV rating of 45.1%.

Manny Pacquiao’s fight with Chris Algieri placed second at 43.1%.

His fight with Algieri on November 23 came at number two, at 43.8%.

A supporting bout between Thai Kwanpichit Onesongchaigym and Chinese Zou Shiming got ranked fifth, earning 37.8%.

ABS-CBN programs filled the remaining seven spots.

Highest on the list is the March 7 finale of Got to Believe on 38.6%, which placed third. This romantic drama starred Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo.

Fourth place went to Maalaala Mo Kaya: Red Envelope on August 16, with 38.4%. The episode featured the life story of Lyca Gairanod, the winner of The Voice Kids.

The Voice Kids was a top-rating singing competition. In fact, three of its episodes placed 6th, 7th and 8th on the top 10 list.

The June 13 finale of The Legal Wife landed on 9th place at 36.2%. The infidelity drama starred Angel Locsin, Maja Salvador and Jericho Rosales.

Number 10 is an episode of Honesto, a family drama that starred Raikko Mateo.

The remake of Dyesebel, starring Anne Curtis, emerged as the most anticipated program nationwide as it landed on the No. 1 slot with 32.8%.

All the other shows with most watched pilot episodes were from ABS-CBN.
