Mel Tiangco and Mike Enriquez will anchor GMA-7’s coverage of PNoy's State of the Nation Address


GMA News and Public Affairs is primed and ready to deliver its special coverage of the third State of the Nation Address of President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III this Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City.

GMA News pillars Mel Tiangco and Mike Enriquez will anchor SONA 2012, GMA 7’s special coverage, delivering up-to-the-minute live reports starting at 3 pm. GMA News' reporters will bring the latest updates from inside the House of Representative, and from the expected protest rallies outside Batasang Pambansa. SONA 2012 will also feature an interactive social media component to convey the expectations and opinions of the public on the President's SONA.

After the live telecast, GMA-7’s flagship primetime newscast 24 Oras and late-night news program Saksi will provide highlights of the President’s speech, reactions and detailed analysis covering all angles and perspectives.

In the run up to PNoy’s SONA, both 24 Oras and Saksi have started airing special reports on the promises and accomplishments of the President in the past year. At the same time, 24 Oras aired investigative reports on the disbursement of Priority Development Assistance Funds or PDAF – more popularly known as pork barrel – under the Aquino administration.

Meanwhile, GMA News TV’s SONA ni PNoy live coverage starts at 2:30pm.
