"I would like to say na ang 1 vs. 100, this is the game of the future... It's visual candy talaga, e," says Edu Manzano about this Endemol quiz show that airs every Saturday night on ABS-CBN.

Because it's electrifying, e.

TOP PRIORITY.

"As a matter of fact, kinuwestyon nga ‘yon, e and I answered it. I wake up every morning at three o'clock and I'm at ABS-CBN at 4:30. Nagpro-programa kami hanggang 8:30. At 8:45 diretso muna ako sa opisina ko which is only two blocks away. Kaya kong lakarin yung OMB and we stay there for the entire day unless may meeting sa labas or mga raids at operations.

And we only tape two episodes every other Saturdays. So, hindi talaga nakaka-affect doon sa aking schedule and I made sure na ‘yun pa rin ang ating priority, ang OMB."

Alin ang mas challenging para sa kanya as a host, ang Game Ka Na Ba? o ang 1 vs. 100?

"Actually, it is exciting ultimo yung host mae-excite lalo na halimbawa ilang buwan nagkamali tapos unti-unti mong nakikita...I have seen previous episodes na pina-review sa akin at kung saan sa isang tanong lang and yung mga nagkakamali 40, 50 [persons].

"Kapag nakita mo yung complexities nito, unang-una I will be forever indebted to Ms. Kris Aquino for sharing her show with me. I have said it once at uulitin ko po sa kanya pa rin po yun [Game Ka Na Ba?].

GAME OF THE FUTURE. Sa katunayan, tinatawag niya itong game of the future.

"I would like to say na ang 1 vs. 100, this is the game of the future. Yung klase ng complexity in a game show, yung demand, ganu'n pa rin kadali pero yung visual candy na ino-offer sa televiewer, well it might seem very exciting for the mob, for the host. This is primarily geared for the televiewers. It's visual candy talaga, e.

I really committed myself to [change my] lifestyle. Hindi na ako luamalabas ngayon 'pag gabi. I stopped smoking. I stopped drinking. It's fantastic. Kailangan I have to be in bed by 8 o'clock to 8:30 and hopefully I get up and then go home mga nine o clock. So, okey naman. But with that [schedule], I can still have a love life."

"You know, gusto ko lahat pasalamatan ang press because you have allowed me a certain degree of privacy and ah...maraming-maraming salamat. Ito na lang siguro ang magiging birthday present ninyo sa akin dahil it comes but once a year, okey?"

Any wish for his birthday?

"I'm so blessed. I truly am. I never imagined na we met at this point of my life. Para akong nagsisimula ulit. I wake up with the same energy. I'm very grateful that I'm very healthy and hopefully I will still be. I've been in the business 27 years. I've been with ABS since 1986 and I've been working with them with the same people since then and the best part of it, I still continue to enjoy waking up working with them everyday until now."

Lastly, naniniwala ba siya sa kasabihang life is a gamble? And does he gamble with love?

"Always remember, stay off the grass," birong sagot ni Edu, who will be turning 52 this Friday, September 14.
