Sarah Geronimo will serve as a judge in The Voice; her show Sarah G Live will stop airing soon on ABS-CBN

Feb 6, 2013

Sarah Geronimo is slated to serve as one of the judges in the Philippine edition of The Voice.

As a result, the Popstar Princess will have to give up her Sunday night show, Sarah G Live. The Philippine edition of The Voice will be hosted by Toni Gonzaga.

The official statement from ABS-CBN also revealed that Sarah is in the process of shooting her upcoming movie with John Lloyd Cruz.

Titled It Takes A Man And A Woman, this marks the third time that Sarah will be paired with John Lloyd. They will reprise their roles as Laida Magtalas (Sarah) and Miggy Montenegro (John Lloyd) in this follow-up to the movie You Changed My Life (2009). Isabelle Daza is included in this movie as the love interest of Miggy.

Here is the official statement sent by Bong R. Osorio, Head of ABS-CBN Integrated Corporate Communications, earlier today, February 6, 2013:

"SARAH G Live ends on top of its game with its last episode airing on Sunday, 10 February 2013. After a year of bringing world class performances to Filipino viewers here in the country and in TFC markets around the world, Sarah Geronimo moves on to fulfill other commitments. The pop star, who recently renewed her contract with the ABS-CBN, will sit as one of the judges of "The Voice of the Philippines," and will soon have her own drama anthology. Sarah is also busy filming her upcoming Star Cinema movie with John Lloyd Cruz, and is set to go on a Sarah G concert worldwide."
