"A vibrant and lively celebration is set to break in the heritage City of Vigan this weekend as GMA Network, the strategic partner of the 2013 World Costume Festival, brings in some of its brightest Kapuso Stars to participate in this international event that showcases both traditional and modern designs from different parts of the globe for live and theatre performances.
"Kapusong Ilokanos along with local and international tourists alike are to witness and be introduced to this cultural event that will also include delegates from around the world and organizers of the country’s major festivals.
"On April 28, at 7am, Kapuso artists Mikael Daez, Andrea Torres, and beauty queen Chloe Dauden are to banner the Paseo de Crisologo Grand Parade, which will tour the route from Vigan City Hall to Quezon Avenue, then to Liberation Boulevard up until Calle Crisologo.
"A live coverage of the said parade, which will air from 7:30am to 10:30am, can be seen over all GMA regional stations courtesy of the Network’s regional News and Public Affairs team.
"The night becomes all the more colorful as GMA is set to stage its grand Kapuso Fiesta titled Viva Vigan World Costume Festival 2013 at the Vigan Convention Center starting at 6:30pm.
"Live, engaging performances are to be expected courtesy of Kapuso stars Bela Padilla, Max Collins, Katrina Halili, Mike Tan, JC Tiuseco, Arthur Solinap, Wil Devaughn who will be joined by Mikael, Andrea, and Chloe. They will be donning garments featuring the Philippines ’ elegant and elaborate touch in costume-making.
"Apart from the special numbers, awards recognizing the creativity of designers who will manage to stand out during the exposition are to be presented at the Kapuso Fiesta.
