Looks like Kapamilya actress Jessy Mendiola is seriously preparing for her next TV project.
On June 18, the 20-year-old actress shared a photo of herself riding a mountain bike through her Instagram account (seniorita_j).
She accompanied the photo with a caption that goes: “remember learning how to swim for my role in Paraiso. Now, I have to learn how to ride a bike for a new role. Well, we all got to start from something right? Too late? Nah, it’s never too late. You just got to start.”
She also shared this quote from Francis of Assisi: “Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.”
Jessy will be playing the lead character in the Philippine version of the Mexicanovela Maria Mercedes.

The iconic role was first portrayed by Mexican superstar Thalia.
Maria Mercedes depicts the rags-to-riches story of a street urchin who catches the attention of a rich man who sees her selling lottery tickets and flowers.
In a recent interview with fellow Star Magic talent Jake Cuenca, he revealed that he will be the leading man of Jessy in the said teleserye, which will be directed by Chito Roño.
Before learning how to bike, Jessy also learned how to swim when she was paired with Matteo Guidicelli in the now defunct afternoon series Precious Hearts Romances: Paraiso.
