Andi Eigenmann will reunite with Matteo Guidicelli for ABS-CBN's Galema

Jun 28, 2013

Andi Eigenmann will be reunited with Matteo Guidicelli for ABS-CBN's TV adaptation of Galema.

The two Kapamilya stars previously worked with each other in the primetime fantaserye Agua Bendita.

Andi gained popularity after bringing life to twins Agua and Bendita in the TV version of Rod Santiago's classic komiks character.

This time, she will again be seen in a fantasy series as Galema, the daughter of Zuma. These mythical creatures are depicted as having a two-headed snake wrapped around their shoulders.

In her Twitter account, Andi showed her gratitude for this new project after she became part of the now defunct soap opera Kahit Puso'y Masugatan.

"Thank you lord for another amazing birthday present for this year. #Galema malapit na po sa Abs-cbn!!" posted Andi who turned 23 years old last June 25.

The Kapamilya stars of Galema recently attended an orientation wherein they were made to hold a large yellow Burmese python.

Matteo posted a photo of himself with a python wrapped around his shoulders. His caption stated: "This guy is going to be my best friend."

Aside from Andi and Matteo, Galema will also star Sheryl Cruz and Sunshine Cruz.

Young actor Kit Thompson and former TV5 talent Meg Imperial will also be part of the cast.

In her Twitter account, Meg retweeted a photo of her with co-stars Kit, Matteo and Andi.

ABS-CBN's fantaserye Galema is directed by Wenn Deramas.

This is based on the Pinoy komiks Anak ni Zuma, which was created by Jim Fernandez. It was serialized by Aliwan Komiks from 1976 to 1984, making it one of the longest running series in Philippine komiks.

In 1985, a movie version of the komiks was made with Max Laurel as the evil Zuma and then child star Snooky Serna playing the kindhearted Galema.
