Huling episode na ng Talentadong Pinoy Worldwide: The Battle Royale this Sunday, August 18, to be held at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.
Kahit umaani na ito ng iba't- ibang parangal here and abroad, TV5 management decided to end the program.
Ryan was quick to reply. Hindi na siya nagpaliguy-ligoy pa. Diretsahan na!
"Well, tinanong mo yan," mabilis na tugon ng TV host sa reporter na nagtanong.
"Thank you for asking ladies and gentlemen. Ah, well, to tell you honestly, I think the decision of the management to cancel our show, sucks!" may lamang pagkakasambit ni Ryan.
Patuloy niya, "That's what I feel, you know, but it's beyond my pay grade to decide what happens to the program.
"My... I'm being paid to make sure you have a hell of a show on Sunday and that's what I'm concentrating on.
"Really, I don't agree with the decision. After that, siguro, wala na akong masasabi pa," aniya na nakangiti.
Kapag natapos na ang finale ng Talentadong Pinoy ngayong Sunday, ano ang planong gawin ng mister ni Judy Ann Santos?
"After 'Talentado,' well, yun na nga, may mga talks with Noel [Ferrer, his manager].
"For the record, I haven't [been] entertaining talks, I haven't [been] meeting with anyone.
"There have been offers but it's Noel who's been taking care of it.
"I have been refusing to talk with anyone even my current bosses 'coz I really wanna concentrate on the show for August 18 because me and the staff, I think, iisa lang yung pakiramdam namin and we're really concentrating on this one because, you know, for us, this is the end of an era.
"No matter what happens, this is the end of an era where we believe that little people with slay times, you know, and the five years that...', at biglang gumaralgal ang boses ng TV host at huminto siya sa pagpapaliwanag.
Obviously, apektado at nasaktan talaga si Ryan sa biglaang pagkansela ng TV5 management sa programang minahal niya at umani ng karangalan sa iba't-ibang award-giving bodies here and abroad.
After few minutes, nagpatuloy si Ryan na nakangiti.
"... well, five years of 'Talentado' represented for us. It was just a show for us.
"For eight months, walang pumansin and then we hit it. And then we did.
"It was good while it lasted and then now, it's still an important show," pagbabalik-tanaw ni Ryan mula ng magsimula ang programa limang taon na ang nakararaan.
Winika rin ni Ryan, "We're not bowing down to anyone and it's our decision to end the show on our terms. So whatever happens, kung sinuman ang magiging amo namin after this, abangan na lang.
"I know there are big things in the pipeline, Noel, but I refused to entertain thoughts na iba because I have been a freelancer since the start of this year.
"January nag-start yung kontrata ko sa TV5 and just because I love the show so much and the staff that I've been working with, we decided tapusin natin 'to on our terms.
"Tayo ang magdidikta paano magtatapos and I just refused to play the game na nag-aano na, e... alam mo yun, naglalaro para lang magpataas ng presyo o magpaligaw.
"No, we're not that way. I think the focus is make sure the show is a good one, so yun.
"On Monday [a day after the grand finals], I can better answer kung anong susunod.
"But for now, ang susunod, the Ultimate Talentado coming your way on Sunday," ani Ryan na sinuklian ng malakas na palakpakan mula sa press at staff ng show.
Sa tanong kung willing pa rin siyang i-host ang programa in case TV5 management decides na ituloy pa rin ito, Ryan was quick to answer.
"Ayoko munang isipin. Kahit isiping magtanong silang ibalik, ayoko munang isipin. Let's see, let's see what will happen on Monday. Sana okay lang," paliwanag ng award-winning TV host.
