Mark Bautista says Sunday All Stars helped him become more creative

Mark Bautista thinks the current format of GMA-7’s Sunday variety show Sunday All Stars has helped form good camaraderie among Kapuso celebrities.

As a former leader of Tropang Trending, the singer-actor said it was initially hard for him to talk to his groupmates regarding their performance.

In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) after the August 27 anniversary event for the nutrition campaign "Oh My Gulay!," the singer-actor described the changes that he observed among his fellow Kapuso artists.

“Noong pilot episode namin, medyo nangangapa pa ako.

ENHANCING CREATIVITY. On a personal note, Mark credits the show for unleashing his creative side.

“At first, akala ko mahirap especially sa oras namin kasi may iba rin kaming trabaho outside Sunday All Stars.

“‘Yong proseso mahirap.

Pwede palang ganito.’

“Dati singing lang o dance. Ngayon, may say talaga ang mga artist.”

To sum up, the 30-year-old performer said, “Para sa akin maganda kasi ang ganitong konsepto ng show.

After Mark Bautista, the leadership was passed on to Mark Herras, who bowed out and handed it over to fellow dancer Rochelle Pangilinan. Right now, Tropang Trending is being led by singer Rachelle Ann Go.

The other groups in Sunday All Stars are Instagang, Ligang iLike, and Tweethearts.
