TV5 President Noel Lorenzana: “We’re happy that GMA showed openness in actually agreeing to their talents to actually appear in TV5."

TV5 President Noel Lorenzana (left) insists that crossover of GMA Network talents to TV5 is a "matter of openness" between the two networks. Entertainment Head Wilma Galvante (right), on the other hand, shares her game plan in strengthening TV5's entertainment content this year.

MVP’S ALLEGED BUYOUT OF GMA NETWORK. Sagot ni Lorenzana kaugnay ng pag-crossover ng non-exclusive talents sa pagitan ng TV5 at GMA: “What’s behind the fact that GMA talents are appearing on TV5? It is just really a matter of openness.

“We’re happy that GMA showed openness in actually agreeing to their talents to actually appear in TV5.

“On the other hand, I also think people appreciate that whatever shows in TV5 that we have given the GMA talent are actually good projects.

These are good projects.

“So, I think if you’ll really appreciate the fact that it’s gonna be good for everybody, why not? If it’s good let’s do it.

“Does this have anything to do with what’s in the papers lately about [MVP] buying into GMA-7? The answer is no.

“This thing has been going on before those news came out. So, clearly there is no link.”

Saad ni Galvante, “As a producer, if you’re tasked with putting together the entertainment content of a network, it will always be an advantage if you’ll be able to get more talents, more resources, [at] yung services ng personalities who are popular already and familiar with the viewers.

That’s why I’m doing this. Hindi ko yun iniisip.”

SOURCING OF TALENTS.

“I think it’s more of timing that we source for artists. As we launch new programs, we need more artists,” pag-amin ni Galvante, na dating top executive ng GMA Network.

“Part of sourcing is you ask talents if they’re available to do shows.

“And then timing din na if they’re in between programs and their contracts will allow them, and their mother network will allow them, then it’s a blessing.

“To me there's nothing wrong with asking, in finding out, and that’s just what we're doing.”

We borrowed Megan Young when we did Misibis Bay last year.

“Nandun din siya sa Never Say Goodbye. She was loaned to us by ABS-CBN. So ganun.”

“I will go for having an exclusive names identified only to your channel.
