Kris Aquino on running for President: "No. Mahiya naman ako sa bayan!"

Kris Aquino says about her brother Noynoy being President: "Minsan, it's really destiny. Hindi po pwedeng bilhin ang pagiging Presidente."

Kris Aquino says she is not considering running for the highest post in the land.

Boy Abunda asked his Aquino & Abunda co-host last night, March 13: "Would you consider the Presidency?"

Kris answered, "No. Mahiya naman ako sa bayan!"

But she added with a laugh, "Ten years from now...Hindi."

In one of the video clips shown in their talk show, Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago said that there are excessive estimates saying that one needs around P15-P20 billion in order to run for President.

Kris, who is the youngest sister of incumbent President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino, said that her brother did not have this amount when he ran in the 2010 elections.

"Noy did not have that money and you know that. Minsan, it's really destiny. Hindi po pwedeng bilhin ang pagiging Presidente."

She continued, "May I take up the cudgels for my brother. For the majority of his life, he was raised by a mom...a single mom [referring to the late Cory Aquino]. Wala na ang dad namin [Ninoy Aquino].

"From the time he was 13 years old, dad was in jail. We had him for three years. I'd like to think that my brother is also very, very sensitive to the needs of women."
