How Bea Alonzo-Paulo Avelino starrer, Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon, fared in the ratings game

In Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon, Bea Alonzo's is smitten by a chocolatier portrayed by Paulo Avelino.

Last Monday night, June 16, social networking sites were kept busy with feedback about the sensual chocolate scene between Bea Alonzo and Paulo Avelino.

This talked-about scene was part of the pilot episode of Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon, ABS-CBN's newest primetime series.

As a result, the hashtag #SBPAKWhenRoseMetPatrick became a trending topic worldwide on Twitter.

During the first part of the episode, Bea Alonzo's voice can be heard declaring: "Ito ang paborito ko: tsokolate at pag-ibig."

Bea's character Rose looks up to her mother (portrayed by Precious Lara Quigaman) who married a chocolate magnate. Rose grows up to be homely looking with her huge front teeth.

She gives her own philosophical take on life when she says: "Ang buhay ay parang tsokolate: minsan matamis, minsan may pait. Madalas maso-sorpresa ka na lang sa laman nito."

Now all grown up, Rose proposes the creation of a shop and raises the need to hire an expert chocolatier. She eventually meets Patrick (played by Paulo Avelino) who is a chocolatier.

During their sensual scene together, Paulo's character feeds Bea with a piece of chocolate but she ends up getting an allergic reaction.

Directed by Jerome Pobocan and Trina Dayrit, Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon "shows how two different women, Rose and Emmanuelle (also portrayed by Bea), will be united by fate and by their hunger for truth and justice."
