Yayo Aguila opts to leave Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 after staying in the house for nine weeks as a celebrity housemate. The Mom in Distress had just found out that her mother, Mrs. Helen Racelis, had succumbed to a cardiac arrest. Yayo's mom had been suffering from diabetes and a serious heart ailment prior to her demise.
The former Bagets star lamented the fact that she was unable to inform her mother two months ago about her plan to enter PBB Celebrity Edition 2. She told Big Brother that the reason she decided to try her luck in the reality show was to provide her mother and her children a much better life. Yayo planned to use the prize money to support her family and pay for her mother's medication.
On December 18, Yayo went out of the PBB house to go to the hospital where her mother was brought. She was accompanied by Mariel Rodriguez when she learned of the tragic news. When the other celebrity housemates learned about the demise of Mrs. Racelis, they lit white candles and offered a solemn prayer to ask God to give Yayo strength and eternal peace for the soul of her mother.
The remains of Mrs. Racelis lie in state at the Arlington Funeral Homes in Quezon City.
With Yayo's voluntary exit, this means that the usual process for eviction is now canceled. Yayo was one of four nominees for eviction; the others were Baron Geisler, Riza Santos, and Gaby dela Merced.
Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 airs every night on ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida after Ysabella while PBBCE 2 Uber is shown at 5:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
