The wedding proposal was aired last August 9 during GMA-7's primetime dance show Marian.

Dingdong mentioned in his emotional message to Yan (Marian's nickname):

“There’s nothing that I want and to ask for, but to settle down and have a family.

“Yan, sa tagal ng pagsasama natin… may isang bagay na malinaw sa akin—that I want to spend the rest of my life with you.

“Kaya ngayon, saksi ang mga mahal natin sa buhay, gusto kong ipagsigawan sa buong mundo, na ikaw ang sagot sa aking mga dasal.”

In response, Marian gave Dingdong a kiss on the lips.
