Alden Richards is set to appear on the final judgment of StarStruck 7 this Sunday, September 15, 2019.
During the GMA All New Primetime event last Tuesday, September 10, at Shangri-La Mall, Alden told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other bloggers that he is excited to be part of StarStruck, especially since he tried his luck to be part of the show during its fifth season.
He said, "Na-e-excite ako kasi parang being part of StarStruck, sumali din ako dati. I always look forward.
"Nag-guest din ako before sa StarStruck noong 2015, batch 6. I was part of StarStruck V.
"So, ang sarap makakita ng new breed of talents who would venture into show business.
"Kapag binibigyan ako ng opportunity na mag-guest sa finals night, nae-excite ako and I always say yes to it."
PEP.ph also asked what he will do during the finals night.
The lead actor of The Gift answered, "Ngayon, sing and dance. I look forward to it, hindi ko pa kasi sila nami-meet."
Alden was one of the finalists who made it to the Top 40 in StarStruck V in 2009. Unfortunately, he did not make it to the Final 14.
In 2011, he got a chance to be part of GMA-7 afternoon series Alakdana, alongside Louise Delos Reyes.
Management groomed him to become one of the network's leading men, and eventually, he became one of GMA-7's most-prized stars. Just recently, he was tagged by the network as Asia's Multimedia Star.
STARSTRUCK 7 FINAL JUDGMENT
After 14 weeks of competition, StarStruck 7 is set to hold its final judgment this weekend, September 14-15, 2019.
Battling it out to become the Ultimate Male and Female Survivors are: Lexi Gonzales, Shayne Sava, Allen Ansay, and Kim de Leon.
Unlike the first five seasons, and like the sixth season, StarStruck 7's final judgment will be held on GMA Network Center's Studio 7, with a taped-as-live show on Saturday, and a live announcement on Sunday.
During the media conference for StarStruck's final four last Wednesday, September 11, supervising Bang Arespacochaga was asked why they decided not to hold the final judgment in a bigger venue, such as Araneta Coliseum.
Arespacochaga explained, "Noong launch kasi talaga, it was a big launch kaya nag-Araneta yung finals no'n.
"But through the years, nag-evolve na rin, mas ano namin ngayon yung availability ng mga venues, mas mahirap kasi maraming activities.
"So, dito sa date na na-set namin. it was hard for us to get a venue na available kaya nag-decide na lang [na dito]."
Arespachochaga also pointed out that it will be easier for them to prepare, since the final judgment will now be held for two days, unlike the previous six seasons.
"Anyway, two days na kasi ngayon ang finals night, Saturday and Sunday. Dati kasi one day lang, e.
"Ngayon, yung needs namin is longer—three days, four days, including set-up.
"So, para to make things easier and lesser pressure to the teenagers, ginawa sa studio.
"I hope it will work for the best naman kasi it will be star-studded, lahat ng StarStruck na alumni, dadating sila, basta available sila. But everyone is invited.
"Taped as live on Saturday and live on Saturday. We'll have Alden Richards on the finals night. Abangan niyo po."
STARSTRUCK FINAL FOUR
PEP.ph asked the final four survivors of StarStruck what were the best comments and the constructive criticisms they received from the StarStruck council, composed of Heart Evangelista, Cherie Gil, and Jose Manalo.
LEXI GONZALES, 19, MANILA
Best compliment she received from a judge: "I think because it's also a dream come true for me, yung comment ni Miss Cherie Gil from our acting test with her.
On criticisms she received from the council: "Na-hurt?
SHAYNE SAVA, 17, RIZAL
ALLEN ANSAY, 16, CAMARINES SUR
On constructive criticism: "Si Miss Heart, nakakakaba si Miss Heart kasi halos din siya puro good comment. Sabi ko sa sarili ko, paano kapag kinomentan ka ni Miss Heart ng bad, for the first time, sa'yo siya mag-comment ng bad. Ikinakaba ko po kasi halos puro good. One time po, nag-comment po siya sa akin, nakulangan kami, kasi for the first time nag-comment ng ganun si Miss Heart."
KIM DE LEON, 19, BATANGAS
Just like the previous weeks, the judges's scores will comprise 50 percent of each finalist's total score, while the other 50 percent will come from audience votes.
Their last artista test, which is a short film, will be shown on September 14 after Daddy’s Gurl while the grand finale and live announcement will happen on September 15 after Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko.
