It's Showtime host Vice Ganda admitted that there was a point when he wanted to leave the show.

It was after the first year of It's Showtime, around 2010, when it was still a pre-programming show to ABS-CBN's noontime show, Pilipinas Win na Win.

The TV host/comedian/actor said, "After noong first year, nagpaalam na ako. I felt so tired. Yung araw-araw, 'sample sample,' araw-araw, kailangan ko mag-isip ng 'May nag-text!' Feeling ko, naubos ako."

"Sample, sample" and "May nag-text!" were Vice's punchlines as the punong hurado during the first two years of It's Showtime as a morning program.

Apart from running out of jokes, Vice said that his life had a 180-degree turn when he became more popular because of his It's Showtime stint.

Back then, Vice revealed, he was only earning five thousand pesos a day for his stint in Showtime.

"At that time, P5000 pesos a day ang sweldo ko. So wala kang P.A., wala kang make-up artist, wala kang hairstylist.

"Ako ang damit, wala ako ibang stylist. Sabi ko, parang it's not worth it.

Vice then decided to talk to the management of ABS-CBN. The executives did not accept his resignation, but allowed him to take a break.

"So habang nagtu-tour ako, everyday, naka-Facetime!

When Vice took a break, it was when he realized that he missed Showtime, especially his co-host Anne Curtis.

Vice and the other hosts of It's Showtime faced the press, including PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), during the 10th anniversary press conference of the show held yesterday, September 30, at Dolphy Theater.

It's Showtime will have a year-long anniversary special starting this October 2019. The Kapamilya noontime show will celebrate by bringing back old segments.
