Vanjoss Bayaban of Team Sarah Geronimo wins ABS-CBN's The Voice Kids Season 4.

Vanjoss Bayaban is the winner of ABS-CBN's The Voice Kids Season 4.

The representative of Team Sarah Geronimo was hailed as the winner during the grand finals held tonight, November 3, 2019.

Vanjoss won the Kapamilya contest, after besting two other competitors in the two-night finale event.

Carmelle Collado of Kamp Kawayan and Cyd Pangca of Team FamiLea became the first runner up and second runner up, respectively, in The Voice Kids 4.

Coach Sarah said Vanjoss, the 12-year-old native of Pangasinan, “made a mark” on her heart.

His family, who was also present in the event’s venue Resorts World Manila, was overjoyed for his win.

Vanjoss won P2 million pesos, a recording contract, and a house and lot.


During the first night of the finale held on Saturday, November 2, Cyd.Pangca, Carmelle Collado, and Vanjoss Bayaban drew lots to determine who would sing first in each of the three rounds. The first round featured the duets with coaches.

Cyd opened the night, and it was fitting because he was celebrating his birthday that day. He performed the Cyndi Lauper’s song "True Colors" with coach Lea.

Coach Bamboo praised them for doing a good job. Coach Sarah said everything was perfect and the performance was heartfelt.

In the audience, Cyd’s mother Lou appealed to viewers to vote for her son. She said Cyd’s performance was for the people of Bukidnon “at sa mga tao na minsan nang nabigo at hindi sumuko.”

Vanjoss, who will be celebrating his birthday in a few days, sang next. He performed Wency Cornejo’s song "Habang May Buhay" with Coach Sarah.

Coach Lea first greeted Vanjoss an advanced happy birthday, and mentioned that she knew he would be a grand finalist ever since the blind auditions. Coach Bamboo said he sang from the heart.

In the audience, Mommy Evelyn, an OFW from Hong Kong, praised her son Vanjoss and said he should always sing from the heart.

Carmelle performed last for this round. She sang a rock version of the Disney song "Let It Go" with Coach Bamboo. Coach Sarah said the performance was very intense, and Coach Lea pointed out that Carmelle just showed her growth as an artist.


In the second round, the three contestants had to perform fast songs and had to learn dance choreography. The three performed one after the other without any breaks in between.

Carmelle was first. She performed Beyonce’s "Love On Top."

Then Cyd performed "Come Alive" from the soundtrack of The Greatest Showman.

Lastly, Vanjoss performed Sia’s "Titanium."

Before the Saturday episode ended, the coaches had some words for their trainees. Coach Bamboo liked that Carmelle stayed chill throughout the night. “May bukas pa tayo,” he told her.

Coach Lea admired Cyd since he looked like he was enjoying his time on stage. “Parang ang sarap-sarap lang ng pakiramdam mo.”

Coach Sarah said watching Vanjoss made her smile. She told him to be happy and not be nervous.


The third round of the competition happened in the Sunday, November 3, episode.

Here, the contestants had to sing ballads that showcase their voices.

Vanjoss was first. He performed Josh Groban’s "You Raise Me Up."

Coach Lea praised the power in his voice. Coach Bamboo playfully commented that Vanjoos really “raised me up” with his singing. Coach Sarah then said working with Vanjoss was humbling and inspiring because he listens to her advice even though he already has good singing skills. The pop star said Vanjoss “made a mark on my heart.”

Carmelle was next. She sang Simon and Garfunkel’s "Bridge Over Troubled Water."

Coach Sarah said it was clear she is ready. Coach Lea said, “Wow! That is all I can say.” Coach Bamboo said it was a privilege to work with Carmelle. He also insisted that she deserved to win because she dominated the finale.

“In our two nights she has proven to be the shining light on that stage,” said the former band singer.

Last to sing was Cyd, who performed "This is the Moment" from the soundtrack of the musical Jekyll & Hyde.

Coach Bamboo congratulated Cyd and said his coach is going nuts because he did great. Coach Sarah said his voice was beautiful and sincere. Then Coach Lea said Cyd’s “I will not give up attitude” was inspiring. The Broadway actress said Cyd was able to make it to the grand finals after joining the contest for the second time, despite negative comments from detractors. “You’ve proven all those people wrong… You are a star.”


Viewers were given two avenues to pick a winner. They were able to cast their votes via the ABS-CBN website and via SMS.

In the end, Vanjoss received 62.11% of the online and text votes, making him the winner by a landslide.

Carmelle came second with 24.74% of the votes. Cyd was third with 13.15% of the votes.
