Maricel Soriano gets a follow-up project after returning to ABS-CBN in 2018.
She will headline the series titled What Matters Most, together with Jodi Sta. Maria, Iza Calzado, and Sam Milby.
The new show had its story conference earlier today, January 17, at the ABS-CBN compound.
Zaijian Jaranilla and Chantal Videla are also part of the show's cast.
The new teleserye will be helmed by FM Reyes, who directed ABS-CBN teleseryes such as Maging Sino Ka Man (2006-2007), Lobo (2008), Magpahanggang Wakas (2016), and Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit (2019).
What Matters Most is Maricel's second teleserye after her ABS-CBN comeback in 2018.
The first was the drama series The General's Daughter. Starring Angel Locsin, the series started taping in 2018, and was aired from January to October 2019.
Prior to The General's Daughter, Maricel's last TV project was the GMA-7 prime-time series Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real.
What Matters Most also serves as a reunion for Jodi and Iza, who worked together in the 2014 horror movie Maria Leonora Teresa.
ABS-CBN has yet to announce more details about the new Kapamilya teleserye.
