MYLENE, RK CURRENTLY WORKING IN OTHER NETWORKS
Mylene and RK still have ongoing TV shows in ABS-CBN’s rival networks.
Mylene, a freelance actress, is currently in a lock-in taping for Bilangin Ang Bituin Sa Langit with Kyline Alcantara and Nora Aunor.
The series, which premiered on February 24, 2020, has so far aired 21 episodes—the last of which was shown on March 23, 2020.
The entire Luzon was placed under enhanced community quarantine on March 16, 2020 to combat the spread of COVID-19.
For this reason, production for teleseryes also had to be stopped.
On September 29, Mylene did a guest appearance on PEP.ph’s online talk show, PEP Live, to promote Bilangin Ang Bituin Sa Langit.
She said that they are set to return to taping this October.
Mylene made her GMA-7 comeback in 2019 via the prime-time series Sahaya. Prior to this, she did a number of teleseryes with ABS-CBN from 2015 to 2018.
Her last series in the Kapamilya network was the prime-time series The Good Son, which aired from 2017 to 2018.
Meanwhile, RK is part of the upcoming weekly series I Got You, together with other Kapamilya stars Beauty Gonzalez and Jane Oineza. It will air as blocktimer on TV5.
RK, a Star Magic talent, was allowed by his management to work for the series produced by Brightlight Productions, Project 8 Corner San Joaquin projects, and CS Studios.
He is currently in a lock-in taping for I Got You, which will premiere on October 18, 2020.
In their PEP Exclusives interview aired on October 8, RK, Beauty, and Jane clarified that they remain a Kapamilya and talents of Star Magic despite their participation in this project.
Star Magic talents have been allowed to work for other networks after ABS-CBN's broadcast franchise was junked by Congress on July 10, 2020.
