Cassy Legaspi had began working for her first-ever teleserye project for GMA-7 and her father Zoren Legaspi revealed that everything is "so far, so good naman."

The GMA-7 actor told the press in the virtual conference of Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit on December 3, 2020 that Cassy had done well in her lock-in shoot for her acting debut.

Zoren said, "In fairness naman sa kanya, kabisado naman niya mga linya niya.

"Bumalik na feedback sa amin regarding her performance. So far, she's doing really well and sabi nila, people will be surprised doon sa performance ni Cassy na ginagawa niya.

"But naninibago naman siya ngayon. It's her first day to act in the Unit Two kasi iba yung Unit Two sa Unit One.

"Unit Two, parang bakbakan na talaga iyan. Bakbakan na mabilis iyan, so medyo naninibago siya. Iyon yung Viber niya sa akin…

"Sabi ko, 'Welcome to Philippine production.' Sabi ko, 'Hindi lahat talaga maghihintay, so kailangan you have to be ready.'"

Helping Cassy during taping

Zoren revealed that Cassy would often message him whenever she had any questions or worries about work.

And the celebrity dad always had a piece of advice or hack to offer.

"Ngayon na nasa lock-in na siya, kapag meron siya mga tanong, vina-Viber niya ako... Nagulat siya dahil bigla dadami na naman eksena niya. Sabi ko, 'Well, that's work. You're working now.'

"Tinuruan ko siya ng mga daya on how to rest during tapings. Wala pang lunch break, dapat kumakain ka na. Para kapag lunch break, that's the time you take a nap. Lalo na kapag marami kang mga eksena. Mga ganung daya."

But even before Cassy went to set, Zoren already prepared her for what's to come. One particular advice he gave Cassy was to have a hard copy of the script.

"Itong mga lock-in, bawat production may kanya-kanyang rules. Sila, I think they were given a hard copy of the script.

"Sabi ko, 'Cassy, because you are a newcomer, you need a hard copy dahil doon ka magdya-jot ng notes at doon ka magkokorek ng mga linya mo. So, you have to ask for a hard copy.'"

Cassy also did acting workshops with Ana Feleo, a celebrity acting teacher.

Zoren continued, "Inaraw-araw ang training sa kanya. She went through acting workshop... But you know, script reading is very different lalo na kapag may character ka na nasusundan.

"In fairness kay Cassy, she's really into it... bilib din ako sa bata kasi kumbaga she's willing to undergo all the hardship para mag-improve and learn from it.

"She's willing to learn and, maganda sa kanya, nakikinig siya."

Cassy is Zoren's 19-year-old daughter with Carmina Villarroel. She has a twin named Mavy.

Cassy and Mavy became talents for GMA-7 in 2018.
