After months of speculation, John Lloyd Cruz has finally renewed his contract with ABS-CBN.
The actor signed up anew with a three-year contract with the Kapamilya Network earlier today, January 22.
Present during the contract signing were Star Magic executive Mariole Alberto, Star Cinema managing director Malou Santos, ABS-CBN channel head Cory Vidanes, and ABS-CBN president Charo Santos-Concio.
It will be recalled that JLC's three-year network contract with ABS-CBN ended in October 2014.
He was supposed to star in the upcoming teleserye Bridges but he did not push through with since he was still negotiating his contract at that time.
Back then, John Lloyd explained the delay in renewing his contract by saying, "Kailangan mong maging mas maingat kasi you're talking about the next two years of your life.
“It's the next two or three years, so parang hindi 'yon madaling madesisyunan.”
In a previous interview, JLC also mentioned that he wanted to take a vacation in the United States before making a decision regarding his contract.
