Napahagikgik nang mabini si Cristine, “The first thing I noticed, ahhmm... very ano siya, very charming.”

I think, ohhh... sunset. We love that shoot.”

And then, sa sunset view, lahat ng tao, nasa likod namin.

“So, iyong harapan namin, walang tao. May sunset view kami. Nakaupo kami, then nakikinig kami ng music. Solid ‘yon!”

Sagot ni Cristine, “I don’t know.

“I think we gave justice naman to that scene... I think we did good.”

Napapalakpak ang premyadong aktres, “Before, I’m very maldita.”

CRISTINE AS SELENE

Kuwento ni Cristine, “My role here is Selene Cristobal. Si Selene Cristobal ay dating artista, and then, nakapangasawa siya ng isang business tycoon.

“Iyong family, iyong empire nila is into hotels. Hotelier, tama ba? Yun ba ang tawag do’n? Yeah.

“So, anyways... until she had to give it up dahil nga kailangang pangalagaan iyong mga...

“Iyong napangasawa kasi niya, iyong family nun, very controlling. Very manipulative. So, nawala si Selene Cristobal sa sarili niya because of that.

“And parang namatay yung sarili niya. Parang napilitan siya to marry her boyfriend back then, until nag-divorce sila.

“And nung nag-divorce sila, yung mother-in-law niya asked a huge favor na akuin yung kasalanan ng divorce to save their family’s name.

“So, in return, I asked for a hotel. One of their hotels na dying hotel na, and I revived that hotel.

“And of course, bitter yung mother-in-law ko about it, that I became successful about... you know, reviving that dying hotel.

“Anyways, nag-evolve siya. Naging successful si Selene Cristobal. Nagkaroon siya ng ibang branches ng hotel.

“And then, pumunta siya sa Ilocos. Kasi, may gusto siyang bilhin na property doon, na eventually gusto niyang gawing hotel niya.

“Doon kami nag-meet ni Gino, which is Diego. And little did I know na magiging empleyado ko pala siya sa hotel ko. Because Selene is the CEO of the hotel.

“And then, noong nag-bond kami ni Gino sa Ilocos, nagkaroon kami ng spark. Nagka-develop-an kami doon.

“Tapos, na-cut short iyon because of other engagements until pagbalik namin ng Manila, nagkagulatan kami na, ‘Huh?!

“So, parang shell shock, ‘Huh?!’ Doon iikot iyong istorya naming dalawa.”

DIEGO AS GINO

Paglalarawan naman ni Diego sa karakter niyang si Gino Hilario, “Gino is a very simple guy, very humble guy. Ang family niya ay fruit vendors.

“And positive ang outlook niya sa life. And he believes in wise sayings and old sayings na parang... mahahanap mo iyong tunay na para sa iyo.

“Iyong mahal mo, sa tamang oras, sa tamang lugar. And nagkataon na si Selene ‘yon.

“Iyon na nga, nag-meet sila sa Ilocos. He was there for work and nung nakilala niya si Selene, nakilala niya yung tunay na Selene.

Nakita niya yung tunay na pagkatao ni Selene doon, without all the worldly belongings, without the label of who she is, the artista her, her family.

“And yun nga, nagka-spark sila. And nagustuhan nila yung isa’t isa. And Gino didn’t know also na the hotel he applied for is the one she owned.

“And yun, doon tutuloy ang kuwento.”

SEXUAL TENSION

“Kasi, iyong kuwento, two strangers meet in a romantic place and fall in love instantly, but there are circumstances that prevent them from pursuing their relationship.

“Like age gap, at saka yung employer-employee relationship. Iyong employer-employee status nila.

Kasi, sa pandemic, there are travel restrictions that prevent us from...

“Originally kasi, we intended to shoot out of the country. Pero dahil nga sa travel restrictions, we were limited to choices dito sa Philippines.

“And I’ve been to Ilocos before, and importante dito sa kuwento yung sunset.

“So, I recommended that we shoot it in Ilocos Norte.”

Like the sunset, at saka yung nag-meet sila sa isang romantic place,” saad ni Direk Jeffrey.

“But all the rest, ahhh... nag-incorporate kami ng Filipino elements, ng Filipino values.”

So, we settled for annulment na lang.

“Then of course, yung karakter kasi ni Cristine is a celebrity.

“Pero dito, since we shot it in Ilocos, ahhm... parang imposible na hindi siya makikilala ng character ni Diego... as a celebrity.

ON WORKING WITH THE "NEW CRISTINE"

Dito, trailer pa lang, kikiligin na kayo, so what more kung iyong buong episode?

Pero nothing of that sort happened. I’m surprised na Cristine is more matured now, and more considerate of her co-workers. At saka mas professional.

“Si Diego naman, it’s the first time I’m working with him, and yung youthfulness niya, we capitalized on that to portray his character.

“Wala naman akong naging problema with both of them, at saka OK na OK yung chemistry nila.”
