No regrets si Stef Prescott na tinalikuran niya ang kanyang showbiz career para sa tahimik na buhay kasama ang kanyang pamilya.
Nine years na ang nakaraan nang piliin ng dating aktres ang buhay may-asawa. Dalawa na ang anak niya sa kanyang mister na si JP Ya, isang nutritionist at physical therapist.
Sabi ni Stef sa panayam ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), "Life has been great! It has been 9 years since I last did a show with GMA.
"I'm really enjoying this season of my life as a mother, wife, and business owner.”
Mas lalo pa raw naging malapit sa isa't isa ang kanyang pamilya dahil sa ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Aniya, “Family life is wonderful. Of course lahat tayo may challenges, especially during this pandemic. It's been a very scary and uncertain time.
"My husband and I cling to our faith in God and know that all of these trials will have victories in His perfect timing.
"Right now, we are homeschooling the kids. Also all our businesses are full-time jobs.
“My husband and I make a great team, and we try to keep our life balanced with work and family.”
Naging contestant si Stef, at the age of 15, sa fourth season ng reality-artista search ng GMA-7 na StarStruck: The Next Level.
Ka-batch niya sina Jewel Mische, Aljur Abrenica, Kris Bernal, Martin Escudero, Prince Stefan, Rich Asuncion, Jan Manual, at Paulo Avelino.
Bagamat hindi nanalo si Stef, nabigyan siya ng maraming projects, kabilang na ang Boys Nxt Door, My Only Love, Babangon Ako’t Dudurugin Kita, Tasya Fantasya, Full Haus, Ako si Kim Samsoon, All My Life, The Last Prince, Langit Sa Piling Mo, Grazilda, Captain Barbell: Ang Pagbabalik, Sinner or Saint, at Hiram na Puso.
Noong 2012 ay naging contestant si Stef sa Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Doubles Showdown, kunsaan second place siya sa winner na si Betong Sumaya.
Twenty-two years old lamang siya nung nagdesisyong iwan ang showbiz, na nami-miss raw niya paminsan-minsan, “Nami-miss ko rin syempre ang showbiz.
"It will always be a passion of mine. I cherish the memories and friendships I built during my showbiz career.
"I fact, I am still in touch with my StarStruck and Survivor friends.
“I saw Kris Bernal recently because we live near each other. Jade Lopez is still my bestfriend. I'm still in touch with a lot of them.
"Nakakatuwa lang na magkumustahan kayo, especially now that almost all of us have our families.”
Ang panganay ni Stef na si Ethan Zachary o EZ ay seven years old at ang bunso niyang si Elijah ay three years old.
Alam daw ng kanyang mga anak na naging artista siya, “My eldest son, EZ, he knows na artista ako and he ask a lot about showbiz.
"He is actually an entertainer. He loves dancing, singing, drawing. He is creative and artistic. He loves music too.
“Mukhang may pinagmanahan. I will let him decide kung gusto niyang mag-showbiz when he is old enough.”
For now, enjoy si Stef sa pagiging maasikasong ina sa mga anak niya, “I love my kids, and they are my inspiration to become a better person.
“I can be hard on myself, and sometimes feel like I'm doing nothing right as a mom, but when I see my children happy I know I'm doing something alright.”
Kaya naman noong nakaraang 30th birthday ni Stef last March 30, sobra ang pasasalamat niya sa buhay na pinili niya.
Heto ang pinost niya sa Facebook: “And.. I'm 30! I didn't know this day would come so fast!
"I'm grateful and blessed beyond measure. I have a wonderful family. I am healthy. I have more than what I need. I have so many beautiful people in my life.
"I pray that we all learn from this season in our lives, and that we are able to focus on the good, despite all that is happening in the world.
"God always turns what was meant for evil, into something good and for His glory.
"Thank you to everyone who greeted me on my birthday! Let's all stay safe and healthy. All Glory to God!"
