Joseph Morong, GMA-7’s Malacañang beat reporter, intrigued netizens with his tweets summarizing President Rodrigo Duterte’s “Talk To The People” address over the past week.
On May 3, 2021, after posting what he called his “Tadah!” summary of President Duterte’s talk, he said it might be the “last summary” of presidential address.
He wrote, “Heads-up: if this is Pres. Duterte's only "Talk to the People" address this week, this might be the last summary you will get from me. It's been a privilege to serve you :) :) :)”
When President Duterte gave another address on May 5, 2021, Joseph commented, "there’s just one more summary from me hehe”
Meanwhile, Joseph's tweets raised questions. Netizens wanted to know what was his “last summary” tweet about. Is he leaving GMA-7? Is he transferring to another beat?

On May 6, 2021, Joseph clarified in a short YouTube video his “last summary” tweets.
He explained, “Unfortunately, that will be the last summary that you’ll get from me because I’ve been transferred.
“Starting next week, I will not be covering Malacañang anymore.”
Joseph left a message to his colleagues from other publications and media outlets covering the Malacanang.
He said, “Sa mga kasamahan ko sa MPC, sa Malacañang Press Corps, mauna na ako. Akala ko pa naman sabay-sabay tayo magpi-print ng t-shirt.
“But goodluck, kapit lang, take your vitamins and I will miss iyong mga titans moment.
“I hope somehow I was able to help ‘no, with the call in the coverage, sa Tadah. Ako na lang magpuyat, sanay naman. I hope that I was able to do my part and stay safe.”
Joseph did not mention his new beat nor did he name the reporter replacing him in the Malacañang beat.
