Daniel Padilla nominated in Nickelodeon 2015 Favorite Asian Act category

In the 2015 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, Daniel Padilla is competing against performers from Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.


Daniel Padilla is representing the Philippines in the 2015 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.

The ABS-CBN actor is nominated in The Favorite Asian Act category wherein he is competing against Indonesian girl pop idol group JKT48, Malaysian Youtube Sensation Jinnyboy and Singaporean actor Tosh Zhang.

In this year's edition, new categories have been introduced such as Favorite Chinese Act, Favorite Talent Competition Show, Favorite Family TV Show, Most Addicting Game and Favorite New Artist.

This year’s new nominees include Iggy Azalea, Sam Smith, Angelina Jolie, 5 Seconds of Summer, Channing Tatum, Meryl Streep, Meghan Trainor, Chris Pratt, Fifth Harmony, Echosmith, Jessie J, Liam Hemsworth, Elle Fanning, Imagine Dragons, Kira Kosdearin and Laura Marano.

Other nominees include established stars Beyoncé, Cameron Diaz, Jamie Foxx, Ariana Grande, OneRepublic, Hugh Jackman, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj, Ben Stiller, One Direction, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Garner, Maroon 5, Scarlett Johansson and more.

Kids can cast their votes across 23 categories until March 28.

Nick Jonas of Jonas Brothers fame will serve as host during the March 28 awarding ceremony to be held in Inglewood, California.

The 28th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards will be aired in the Philippines on March 30 via the Nickelodeon cable channel.
