Meet the Top Four of The Voice PH Season 2

(L-R) Leah Patricio, Rence Rapanot, Alisah Bonaobra and Jason James Dy are competing in the finale of The Voice of the Philippines Season 2.

This coming weekend, the winner of The Voice of the Philippines Season 2 will finally be revealed.

Rence Rapanot, Alisah Bonaobra, Jason James Dy and Leah Patricio emerged as the four finalists who will be representing their respective teams in ABS-CBN's reality singing competition.

One of them will be following in the footsteps of Mitoy Yonting, the winner of The Voice PH Season 1.

Rence of Laguna is part of Team Bamboo, YouTube sensation Alisah is part of Team Apl de Ap, Jason is being mentored by Sarah Geronimo while Leah Patricio represents her coach Lea Salonga.

Hosted by Toni Gonzaga, Luis Manzano, Alex Gonzaga and Robi Domingo, The Voice PH grand finals will take place this weekend, February 28 and March 1, 2015.

Before this reality show ends, let's take a look at the lives of the grand finalists of The Voice PH Season 2:

TEAM BAMBOO: RENCE RAPANOT. A member of Kamp Kawayan or Team Bamboo, Rence hails from a family of farmers.

He grew up playing in the farm while men in their family cultivated their land with fruit-bearing tress and root crops. After graduation, he left his hometown in Laguna and worked as a computer technician.

The 22-year-old singer's genre has been branded as "hardcore OPM" synonymous with Asin and Joey Ayala.

Rence joined the competition to encourage listeners appreciate Filipino music through his performances.

Here is Rence’s blind audition wherein he performed "Mateo Singko."

TEAM APL: ALISAH BONAOBRA. A 19-year-old sidewalk vendor from Paco, Manila became an Internet sensation for her effortless rendition of "Let It Go."

Alisah Bonaobra used to be a Conservatory of Music scholar. However, she lost her scholarship when she joined a televised singing contest wearing her school uniform.

The young girl went back to helping her family sell food in the streets of Manila.

One day, Alisah and her mother were at a mall to enjoy the airconditioning. The mother encouraged her daughter to sing along with a karaoke machine.

A foreigner happened to record Alisah's performance of the Disney song "Let It Go," which has already registered 1.1 million view to date.

The Black Eyed Peas rapper Apl has been honing the talents of this singer hoping to help her family get out of poverty and earn enough for her to enroll again in school.

Here is Alisah’s blind audition performance wherein she gave her own rendition of "Domino."

TEAM LEA: LEAH PATRICIO. Former band vocalist Leah Patricio used to join amateur singing contests, which is why she is accustomed to performing onstage. She was able to perform alongside singers Bituin Escalante and Frenchie Dy in the past.

In fact, the representative of Team Lea was inducted into the Hall of Fame of TV5's Talentadong Pinoy in 2010.

The 35-year-old singer who hails from Tondo has been vocal in saying that she is a big fan of the Broadway performer.

Here is Leah’s blind audition piece – her version of "I Will Always Love You."

TEAM SARAH: JASON DY. Dubbed as the "Haranista heartthrob," Jason James Dy worked for a company that offers serenading services that can be compared to a singing telegram.

The representative of Team Sarah is a 23-year-old singer who has had experience being part of the recording industry.

As a demo artist he was able to record demo tracks such as "Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?" OST which was re-recorded by Xian Lim. Jason also had the chance to record the track "Kontrabida" that was commercially released by Sam Concepcion and the hit single "Nasa'yo na ang Lahat" that was popularized by Daniel Padilla.

Coming from a broken family, Jason did not only turn to music for earnings, but for an emotional outlet as well.
