Tom Rodriguez feels hopeful with the gradual ebb in Covid-19 cases in the country, but still appeals for vigilance and a more concerted effort for mass vaccination.

"Grabe, from what... twenty thousand cases lagi tapos ang tagal bumaba, tapos bigla ngayon from four thousand, then just a matter of a week or so nasa eight hundred na tayo today."

Noong November 16, isang araw bago ginanap ang Zoom interview sa main cast ng The World Between Us, nasa 830 lamang ang naitalang bagong cases ng COVID-19 sa bansa.

"So, ako personally, naniniwala ako na vaccination must have had something to do with that.

"For the longest time nung wala pang vaccination na nagro-rollout, ang tagal talaga bumaba ng mga cases.

"Kaya kung naniniwala man sila or hindi, sana magtulungan tayo kasi yung iba may mga naririnig ako na sinasabi nila na, 'Okay na silang mag-vaccinate, sila na lang, para tayo safe sila na kunwari walang side effect, at the same time andun pa din yung proteksyon.'

"Pero yun e, just because meron nang herd immunity doesn't mean na immune ka pa rin individually or hindi ka magiging carrier or catalyst for other people who now get it as well.
