Glaiza de Castro has enjoyed her time working with False Positive leading man Xian Lim.
False Positive is Xian’s first project after transferring to GMA-7 in late 2021. This is also the first time that Glaiza and Xian have worked together.
Glaiza talked about her working relationship with Xian during her PEP Exclusives interview with the editorial team of PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
Glaiza recalled, “Nakakatawa nga kasi noong first taping day namin, may pa-fireworks so parang binibiro namin siya na, ‘Welcome, Xian Lim, as the newest Kapuso actor!’
“Pinaramdam namin sa kanya kung gaano rin siya ka-welcome and kung gaano rin kami ka-excited to work with him kasi first time niya kami makatrabaho lahat.”
Glaiza also admitted that prior to working with Xian, she and her co-stars had a different impression about her leading man.
She said, “Honestly, nabanggit naman na namin ito pero meron kaming impression na baka mahirap siyang ka-bonding ganyan.
“Pero he’s the total opposite kasi pala, bonding siya 'tapos palabiro, hindi namin in-expect yun from him.
XIAN LIM AN ACTOR IN THE SHOW
In the series, Xian portrays the husband of Glaiza who accidentally finds himself pregnant because of a curse.
The circumstances of the plot required Glaiza and Xian to do comic and dramatic scenes.
During the interview, Glaiza revealed that she and Xian previously talked about the roles he used to portray.
“So ito, makikita niyo si Xian Lim as an actor. Aktor-akturan siya dito.”
CHEMISTRY AS HUSBAND AND WIFE
When it comes to her chemistry with Xian, Glaiza told PEP.ph, “Feeling ko mako-convince kayo.”
Viewers may have already witnessed their chemistry in the first two weeks of False Positive, but the sparks were already flying in the show's trailer.
In fact, some fans couldn't help but reprimand Glaiza on social media, since the actress had just tied the knot with her husband David Rainey in October 2021.
Laughing, the Kapuso actress said, “Ito na nge, e.
But how were she and Xian able to build the chemistry?
Glaiza revealed the show's director Irene Villamor gave her and Xian time to get to know each other and study their characters.
“Malaking factor yung nag-quarantine kami. Kasi before kami mag-start, noong time na yun may quarantine pa, e. Eight days kami sa hotel so nagre-reading kami ‘tapos nagdi-discuss kami ni Direk Irene.
“This was an initiative kay Direk Irene to discuss.
“’Tapos we have a few days din before the actual taping, nagkaroon kami ng mga run-through sa mga eksena, some of the scenes, like yung napanood sa pilot, may mga ibang eksena doon na ni-rehearse namin, na-block na namin.”
It became easy for Glaiza as she felt like Xian did not have any inhibitions in opening up to her.
False Positive, which airs at 8:50 p.m. on GMA Telebabad, is down to its last two weeks.
The show, from the get-go, is only a series scheduled for a limited run of four weeks.
