GMA Public Affairs’ much-anticipated adventure series, Lolong, finally aired its pilot episode yesterday, July 4, 2022.
The opening sequence showed Lolong, played by Ruru Madrid, fighting against goons who are planning to kill his tribe.
Lolong was single-handedly able to defeat his enemies, and none of them could shoot him down as Lolong’s wound quickly healed on its own.
Later, a hooded person attacked Lolong with a dagger. He was later revealed to be Lolong’s rival, Martin (Paul Salas). When Lolong was attacked by Martin, his wound did not heal quickly.
Lolong later called his crocodile pet named Dakila and stood over the crocodile.
The story then moved to a flashback from eight years ago, when Lolong’s parents, played by Abby Viduya and Leandro Baldemor, were fighting for the rights of the crocodiles.
Lolong’s parents were the stewards of Dakila.
The crocodiles were perceived to be dangerous as instigated by the Kapitana, played by Maui Taylor. It was because her lover was attacked and killed by one of the crocodiles.
The last scene showed a face-off between Leandro and Ian de Leon’s character.
